What is a composite dental filling?

In the past, metallic or amalgam material were used most of the time to restore tooth cavities. Composite resin is a newer version of restorative material which is bonded to the tooth surface and cosmetically appears the same as a natural tooth. The colour of composite resin can be matched meticulously to the colour shade of your teeth.
