Dental Inlay and Onlay

Inlay and Onlay are partially covered teeth like a small path! Inlay and Onlay are indicated when the teeth damage are too large to restore it with normal filling and too small to cover it with crown. After taking a meticulous 3D scan ceramic or gold Inlay/Onlay will be bonded to the tooth cavity(hole) and reconstruct the tooth with long-lasting material.

What’s the difference between an Inlay and Onlay?

An inlay will incorporate the pits and fissures of a tooth, mainly encompassing the chewing surface between the cusps.

An onlay will involve one or more cusps being covered. If all cusps and the entire surface of the tooth is covered this is then known as a crown.
